Five checks before replacing a failed hydraulic hose

Pressure, routing, bend radius, heat and abrasion can make a replacement fail again.

Confirm working and peak pressure, temperature, fluid compatibility, routing and bend radius. Inspect for abrasion, twisting, external heat and movement at the fittings. A replacement should correct the reason for failure, not only match the removed hose.
